This is a replacement for an identical one
Old one is a good toaster and it still perks along after 10 years or so. I am replacing in anticipation of the tariffs to come beginning next year. I hope the new one is as good as the old one. It is basic, so it you want a toaster that talks to you or whatever, get something more pricey. If you want something really pretty for your kitchen counter, get another toaster. The old one doesn’t toast as well as when it was new and it is looking like it is 10 years long. But how old is your current toaster? This toaster is still made because it has been proven to be reliable and a work horse. It makes toast and toasts bagels. That’s it. Just what you need if you want to have toast with your ham and eggs.

Bought one and there was a problem with the engagement part of the toaster. It wouldn’t stay down to toast. So, they sent me another. And it works great! I was totally surprised and happy on how they corrected my purchase.

The product seemed just great for the price for my family. We have been loyal customers to the Sunbeam brand name during very many years. My issue has to do with the plastic body of the toaster. Wen we saw and touched the product we realized that this item would not perform well for a large and busy family. The plastic body of the product is ok for the user not to touch a hot metal toaster surface. I agree, however, I believe that a “flimsy” type of toaster for a very, very busy family such as ours, we do need a stainless steel body toaster for endurance sake. I apologize to the Sunbeam brand name, as I also apologize to the Amazon folks for my mistake. I am returning this new toaster unused, and will immediately place a new order for a stainless steel 4-slice toaster from awesome Amazon. I apologize again with all due respect to everyone affected by my product return.

Works great
So far it works great. It is about the same as any other toaster just a little larger. We just wanted to be able to toast 4 pieces of bread at one time and for that task this is just fine. Buns and bagels do fit.

Toaster works great.has a nice look also.my daughter toast bagels an it does toast the bagels well.it will work with bread an hamburger buns also.i recommend getting it an it can toast UpTo 4 slice’s.my daughter loves it.

Why do they have the cord coming out the side of the toaster and angling towards the front? Thought all appliances have them coming out the back, easier to plug in.

This is a pretty good toaster all things considered but in our particular case, the bread that we routinely eat is too long to properly fit the slots lengthwise – as seen in the photos, the slots are large enough for most slices of bread but not long enough for our bread. You can toast half the bread then the other half but then it tends to dry out – as an alternative, we can cut a slice in half and use 2 slots to toast 1 piece though that defeats the purpose of having a 4 slice toaster if both my wife and I want 2 slices of toast at the same time. Historically we used a toaster oven for toasting so we never considered the fact a standard size toaster would not handle a long slice of bread. That was our mistake but we otherwise like the toaster and are going to keep it. It’s faster than the toaster oven and of course uses less power. Other commenters have remarked about the short electrical cord located at the front right side and while it is a bit on the short side, this hasn’t been an issue for us. Aside from the issue of the bread length, it otherwise toasts quickly and evenly and has multiple individual settings for each set of slots.
