Grill is a game changer for quick grilling in the Microwave
This grill is so great. Did make sure I heat the grill 3 minutes before putting the food on the grill plates to cook. Meat has grill marks on it when done and cooks quickly. Meat comes out great. Drain any fat after cooking and easy to clean. Happy with this grill.

Pre Heat The Metal Plates First
After experimenting with this for a bit, I have discovered a few things. Pre heat the plates – about 2 to 3 minutes (with nothing on them) (and depending on the Power of your Microwave settings, mine is at 1200w). Once this is done, I sprayed the Heated Plates with Spray Olive Oil that I have on both sides. I placed my fully defrosted Chicken Breast on the Plates and Cook for 5 minutes (again, Experiment a little to be sure the Chicken is Fully Cooked). I did the same with Steak. I also have made Chicken Quesadillas, Frozen Tina’s Burritos, even toasted bread – just to try (need a wisp of butter on both sides to get the desired effect I was looking for). So, in a Nutshell, I have been using this for every meal now, And Living in California where we have FLEX Alerts Every Day from 4:00 to 9:00 PM Every day, (( EVERY DAY IS A JOKE, SO MUCH FOR GREEN ENERGY – AND DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT PLUGGING YOUR ELECTRIC CAR IN DURING THAT TIME – “THEY WILL FIND YOU!” )) Stepping down off my soap box now … This has been a Real Time Saver and Energy Saver, I now own 2 of them and sharing this with family and friends.

Electric griddle easier and quicker
This does brown as it claims but the process is not any quicker or easier than just using small electric grill (one like George sells). This thing first has to be preheated in microwave at 900w setting which means to 90% power in my 1000w microwave which involves pushing several buttons to get to. Then you remove the HOT griddle and try to apply food and SECURE the little silicone end tabs WITHOUT BURNING YOURSELF — good luck with that! After cooking at the 90% power setting, you again have to get the tabs off without burning yourself. Food is acceptably brown but not near as nice as George can get it. Then you have to keep from losing those small end tabs — one of mine fell into the garbage disposal. But never fear, Customer Service is fantastic and replaces promptly — they act as though they handle hundreds of these requests routinely — hmmmm common problem, maybe? Save your money and avoid the burns — use George’s grill or similar — it will hold more too.

Works as advertised. You have to figure out the correct time.

Unfortunately, my microwave is too powerful.
Make sure you read the requirements for the microwave. I believe it says you can only use it in a microwave that is up to 900 watts. Mine says 1.65. Not sure what would happen if I had used it so I returned it. My daughter loves hers but her microwave is not as powerful.

Love being able to grill meat in a microwave.
I have the smaller size one as well and was thrilled when they came out with the larger size. It doesn’t take long to cook with and with a bit of oil on the food it leaves great grill marks. I have a stronger microwave than they say to use so I just lower the power from 10 to 8. It works perfect. It washes up like a dream. Food doesn’t stick to it and I just use a soft brush to clean it with soap. It is also dishwasher safe.
