LARGE pudgy pies!
I absolutely love this pie iron! You can either make two sandwiches at once, or one large one. Cooked beautifully the first time as it was pre-seasoned very well. This will get a lot of use as we use our pie irons for cooking almost EVERYTHING! So far we have done breakfast meals, pizzas, calzones, grilled cheese, fruit pies (blueberry cream cheese is my favorite. I want to try French toast on my next camping adventure!

These are great!
We had a blast with these. Kids were super impressed. Great product, easy to use.

Great
I was able to compare to others at a store. This one is cheaper, sturdier, and a little larger. Used it at a group camp out, was a huge hit!

Small
It was a gift so not sure how it worked for them but I would want it more square and bigger.

Makes a great Frittata
This is a very nice versatile piece of Cast Iron cookware – which is my preferred method of cooking, and is a welcome addition to my ever growing collection of Cast Iron. Before using, I disassembled the iron from the handles and washed & seasoned them twice. The product description didn’t specify whether or not it was preseasoned, and it had the feel of not having been – so I figured better safe than sorry.I haven’t brought it on a camping trip yet, but it works great with a gas stove. So far I’ve made a frittata which turned out nice & fluffy. Preheat the irons, add butter and potatoes & cook to desired brownness, turning to heat & butter both irons. Next, add enough veggies, meats, cheese & whipped eggs to fill just below the top of one iron, close and secure the handles and return to the fire – 3 minutes later you’re ready to enjoy a hot, fluffy frittata made to your liking.Besides making sandwiches, frittatas & other things, the irons may be used separately in the oven, on the the stovetop, grill or campfire as well to make smaller amounts of virtually anything you can dream up. Just remove the handles & be sure to use sufficiently heat proof mits or pads when removing from the heat.

Kind of Cheap-o
I purchased two of these and re-seasoned them as I didn’t like the look of how they came. I was a bit shocked when the oil seeped all the way through the cast iron. That tells me that the iron quality is very poor. I tried cooking in one of them and the food stuck (hot dog) which it normally doesn’t do in a good cast iron pan. I will keep these as back-ups and keep looking for some vintage models which are probably made much better.

Solid Construction
Based on everything I can see without actually using it (because it is 26 degrees outside right now) this is great. I have always wanted my own one of these. My parents have some that are real and vintage and this is just about as good as them, and is very affordable. Easy to clean and use, not too heavy to hold, adults will need to help kids. I legit cannot wait for camp fire season to get this baby out. I have a cook book made specifically for pudgie pie makers and I want to test out so many recipes. I will update my review once it has touched a flame.

I had read a review that it arrived with a broken clip. I figured it was a fluke. Sure enough mine arrived with the clip broken

Fairly disappointed, arrived on time but broken. Falls apart when you try to open it
